The club is extremely fortunate to be supported by the following sponsors. Their support assists the club in making the sport as accessible as possible.
E.J. Churchill. Set amidst 40 acres of woodland on the stunning West Wycombe Estate, the shooting ground comprises over 100 clay shooting stands and 6 clay shooting disciplines, offering varied and extensive practice and tuition opportunities. Our layouts include three high towers, skeet, multisport, down the line layouts and purpose built grouse butts. Our dedicated team of instructors are trained to the highest standards and are amongst the most experienced in the country. We offer clay pigeon shooting instruction for novice through to experienced game and clay shooters both at the shooting ground and in the field.
Eley Hawk. Eley Hawk has a distinguished history of sponsoring the Clay Target sports in the UK, and is proud to sponsor the Oxford University Clay Pigeon Shooting Club. We heartily support them in both their competitive endeavours and in providing opportunities for students of all backgrounds to experience the exciting world of clay target shooting.
Eley Hawk produces a spectrum of quality clay shooting cartridges (such as the VIP range, Superbs, DTL Golds, Olympic Blues and Selects), covering all clay target disciplines. Established in 1828 our heritage of over 180 years has ensured we continue to be a company at the heart and soul of British shooting sports.’
Browning International. Browning are proud to collaborate with one of the best universities in the world. Allowing them to shoot with Browning guns is a pleasure and an honour for us. We think they deserve the best there is, Browning. OUCPSC members currently have access to a Browning 725 Sporter, two 525 Sporters or a 525 Trap 1 for training and competition shoots.
Patternmaster. New for the 2017-18 year the club Browning shotguns are fitted with Patternmaster Anaconda Shooting Sports Series chokes with gas over constriction technology. These use Coil Zone™ technology for a consistent shot pattern. This is achieved by way of an internal precision-machined channel to control gas to surround and restrict the wad to form consistent patterns. We look forward to putting them to use on the competition circuit.
These are our sponsors for the Varsity Match.
The Field. The Field is the world’s oldest and premier country and fieldsports magazine, having been published continuously since 1853. Back then, the magazine was founded for those who loved shooting, fishing, hunting and could sniff out a decent claret at 1,000 paces. It’s still like that today. The Field gives its readers the best, whether it’s guns, rods, writing or photography. Be it pheasant shooting, fly-fishing or the distinct merits of Cheval Blanc, The Field is the champion of Britain’s countryside heritage. If you love fieldsports, errant terriers and very foxy friends at hunt balls, The Field is for you.
Eley Hawk. The Oxford University Clay Club is delighted to announce Eley Hawk as the official cartridge sponsor for the upcoming Varsity Match against the Cambridge University Clay Club in 2018. The rivalry between Oxford and Cambridge has been played out in Varsity Matches for different sports for over 100 years, and so it is fitting that the 2018 match is supported by a cartridge manufacturer with an even longer history. The clubs are looking forward to the match, and the opportunity to shoot at their best using performance Eley Hawk cartridges.
Lledrmorgan. Lledrmorgan is an independent British producer of quality fine-crafted leather goods, with a focus on the discerning sporting shooter. Our handmade leather cartridge bags can hold more than enough cartridges for a day of shooting, and are available in both dark and tan leather. We are pleased to support the Oxford vs. Cambridge Varsity Clay Shooting Match in 2018, and look forward to seeing the scores!
Chase Distillery. Chase Distillery is Britain’s first Single-Estate Distillery with a strong field to bottle ethos. Their homegrown potatoes are distilled and hand crafted on the family farm to create award-winning Chase Vodka; which in turn gets redistilled with carefully selected wild botanicals to make their best-selling GB Gin. Unlike most other distilleries Chase opt out of buying in ready-made, neutral grain spirit and in their quest for traceability in the industry, use only locally grown ingredients from their fields, giving true provenance.
